এর কারণ হল MySQL ইউনিট কীওয়ার্ডগুলো একবচন (singular) আকারে চায়, ইংরেজি ব্যাকরণের নিয়ম মেনে না। যদি '7 days', '2 hours' ইত্যাদি ব্যবহার করা হয় তবে MySQL সিনট্যাক্স এরর দেবে:
